
Tragedy struck the Daniyawan-Hilsa road in Bihar on Saturday morning when a collision between an auto-rickshaw and a heavy vehicle (Hyva) claimed eight lives. The accident occurred in the Shahjahanpur police station area of Daniyawan block. The victims, residents of Reddy Malama village in Nalanda district, were on their way to Triveni Sangam, Fatuha, to take a holy dip in the Ganga. The incident happened around 6:45 AM. Five other individuals were injured and are being treated at Patna Medical College Hospital. Emergency services, including local police, traffic officials, and ambulances, responded immediately to the scene. The Civil Surgeon is coordinating with the hospital superintendent to ensure adequate medical care for the injured. The District Magistrate conveyed condolences to the bereaved families and assured them of all possible support. Local administration, police, and traffic police are present, providing assistance to the injured and the families. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Fatuha-1, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) of Patna City, and the Rural Superintendent of Police were present to oversee rescue operations. The Daniyawan Circle Officer has been directed to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), and all officials are coordinating their efforts to aid the affected families. The Rural SP is supervising the security arrangements at the site.
