Maruti Suzuki is preparing to launch an updated version of its popular Ertiga MPV. The 2025 Ertiga will see an increase in length, from 4.39 meters to 4.43 meters. The wheelbase will remain unchanged, but the boot space is expected to grow. The Tour M fleet variant already has larger dimensions, suggesting the manufacturer might make similar enhancements to the standard model. Safety is a key focus, with the addition of a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) as a standard feature. The second-row AC vents have also been slightly redesigned. The MPV has been updated with six airbags, leading to a price adjustment. Currently, the Ertiga is available in nine variants, with prices between Rs 9.11 lakh and Rs 13.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated Ertiga will likely retain the 1.5-liter K-series petrol engine, producing 102 bhp and 136 Nm of torque. The CNG version offers 87 bhp and 121.5 Nm of torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox is standard, with a 6-speed automatic transmission available on some petrol variants. In addition, Maruti Suzuki is set to launch a new Arena-exclusive mid-size SUV to compete with the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. This new SUV, positioned between the Brezza and Grand Vitara, will be available starting September 3, 2025. The name and other details of the SUV are yet to be announced, but it may be called ‘Escudo’ or ‘Victorris’.
