
Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s trip to Japan included a meeting with senior officials from the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) in Tokyo, specifically Mr. Nakajo Kazuya, Mr. Ando Yuji, and Mr. Hara Harunobu. The purpose of the meeting was to explore investment and industrial collaboration possibilities. The Chief Minister highlighted Chhattisgarh’s potential in key sectors such as IT, textiles, aerospace, automobiles, electronics, and clean energy. He urged the JETRO delegation to explore fresh investment opportunities within the state’s rapidly growing economy. Shri Sai described Chhattisgarh, centrally located in India, as a rising industrial and investment destination, supported by its transparent policies, simplified processes, and strong industrial infrastructure, all of which attract global investors. He expressed his belief that the discussions with the JETRO representatives would strengthen economic ties between Chhattisgarh and Japan. Further, during his visit, Chief Minister Sai toured the ‘Deep Space – To the Moon & Beyond’ exhibition, an event held in conjunction with National Space Day. He noted that this exhibition, showcasing space science and innovations, would be a source of guidance and inspiration for the upcoming Space Manufacturing Cluster in Rajnandgaon, a project being developed with support from the Government of India. Chief Minister Sai projected positive outcomes from his Japan visit, including advancements in investment, innovation, and technology transfer. He emphasized the Chhattisgarh government’s strategic goal of not only making the state industrially self-reliant but also establishing it on the global stage through international cooperation.
