The assassination of Shivshankar Singh, the block general secretary of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) party, has created a tense situation in Vaishali, Bihar. The fatal attack occurred in Pakauri, under the Bidupur police station. The incident resulted in immediate road blockades and protests by RJD workers and local residents. Protesters used bamboo to block the road near Hajipur Bidupur Pakouli and set fires. Demonstrators also organized a sit-in on the road, criticizing the government and administration for the incident. According to family sources, Singh was targeted while on his way from his previous home in Bhaoropur to his new residence in Pakouli. He was riding a motorcycle at the time of the shooting. The assailants fired several shots at Singh before escaping. Singh was a retired member of the electricity department and also conducted land-related business. The police have begun an investigation and taken Singh’s body for a post-mortem.
