A disturbing case has emerged from the Bijapur district, where a young couple was found dead, hanging from a tree in the Turnam forest. The police were alerted and arrived to assess the situation, subsequently sending the bodies for forensic analysis.
The condition of the bodies suggests they had been suspended from the tree for a significant duration. Local residents reported the location of the deceased. The investigation, led by Bijapur Kotwali Police Station in-charge Durgesh Sharma, is looking into a potential love-related motive. Authorities have recovered a video from a mobile phone that is believed to be linked to the case.
Following the post-mortem, the bodies were released to their families. The girl was a minor residing in Jangala, while the young man, Shankar Mandavi, was from Turanggur, within the jurisdiction of Kondagaon police station, Bastar. The Bijapur police are actively investigating all aspects of the tragic event.
