The Bihar electoral process is under scrutiny following the inclusion of two Pakistani women in the voter list. The women, residents of Bhagalpur, were identified during a Ministry of Home Affairs investigation targeting foreign nationals. The probe uncovered that both Imrana Khanam and Firdousia Khanam, residing in Tank Lane, possessed voter ID cards and had undergone verification during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. Firdousia arrived in India in 1956 on a three-month visa, while Imrana’s visa was valid for three years. The Bhagalpur district administration has initiated proceedings, and notices will be served to the women requiring them to provide supporting documentation.
