The Nikki Bhati murder case in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is experiencing new twists. Nikki’s sister, Kanchan, has accused her husband Vipin, along with his family, of setting Nikki on fire due to dowry demands. Police have taken Vipin, his parents, and his brother into custody. Counter-allegations have emerged from Vipin’s sister-in-law, claiming dowry harassment, with her stating that she too was mistreated. Rohit’s wife claimed that Nikki’s parents, along with Kanchan and her husband Rohit, used to beat her. Meenakshi further claimed that Nikki had set herself on fire and Vipin was innocent. In an interview, she stated that the car received as dowry was sold off a week after her marriage, and a Scorpio was demanded instead. She also said she was repeatedly beaten and was finally rescued by the police.
