
During his visit to Seoul, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai engaged in discussions with the Advanced Technology Center Association (ATCA), led by Chairman Lee Jae Jeong. The meeting focused on investment opportunities in Chhattisgarh and included senior officials from ATCA, a prominent network encompassing over 60 major companies spanning IT, electronics, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and textiles. ATCA has shown a keen interest in establishing business-to-business partnerships with companies based in Chhattisgarh.
Chief Minister Sai extended a warm welcome to the ATCA delegation, emphasizing the Chhattisgarh government’s dedication to creating a favorable environment for investors. He personally invited Chairman Lee Jae Jeong and other senior members to visit Chhattisgarh during their upcoming visit to India, providing them with a firsthand look at the investment possibilities and collaboration opportunities available within the state.
In his remarks, Chief Minister Sai highlighted Chhattisgarh’s rapid progress, citing its investor-friendly policies, abundant natural resources, skilled workforce, and robust infrastructure as key advantages. He expressed a strong desire for ATCA member companies to invest in emerging sectors like IT, electronics, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and textiles, fostering new partnerships and driving economic growth, generating jobs for the youth and bolstering local industries.
The Chief Minister also participated in the Chhattisgarh Investor Connect program held in Seoul, which was organized in partnership with the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK). He underscored the significant potential that Chhattisgarh holds for South Korean companies, and noted that South Korea is a top destination for Indian steel exports. As a leading steel producer, Chhattisgarh is well-positioned to strengthen this collaboration and explore new investment avenues.
Further, Chief Minister Sai highlighted Chhattisgarh’s rich mineral resources, which are crucial for the automotive and electronics industries. The presence of abundant lithium reserves will be instrumental in fueling the EV revolution and supporting new-generation industries. He envisioned Chhattisgarh as a natural hub for the global energy transition.
In a significant announcement, Chief Minister Sai welcomed ICCK as a knowledge partner, signaling that the Chhattisgarh Industrial Policy 2024-30 will provide a fresh impetus to technology, skill development, and international cooperation. He expressed confidence that the fusion of Korea’s innovative capabilities and Chhattisgarh’s resources will pave the way for a new era of development.
Finally, the Chief Minister affirmed the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to providing complete support to investors, offering services from single-window clearance and land allocation to ensuring necessary permits and policy support. He expressed his belief that the involvement of South Korean companies would unlock new possibilities for Chhattisgarh’s industrial sector, elevating the South Korea-India industrial partnership to new heights.
