The Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara, the company’s first electric car, has entered production. This is a landmark achievement for both Maruti Suzuki and Suzuki Motor Corporation. The roll-out ceremony of the e-Vitara from Maruti Suzuki’s plant in Gujarat was initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The company has announced that the electric SUV will be exported to more than 100 countries.
The e-Vitara is scheduled to launch in India on September 3rd. This launch will see Maruti Suzuki entering a segment that currently features prominent players such as Tata Motors, MG, and Mahindra. Although Maruti Suzuki is joining the competition later, the company is focused on becoming a major player, and the e-Vitara is a crucial component of this strategy. The made-in-India SUV is destined for almost every continent worldwide, excluding the Arctic and Antarctic regions. This move represents a significant achievement for the Indian automotive industry and supports the company’s global strategy.
