Indian citizens holding valid US visas can now explore Argentina with greater ease due to a recent change in visa regulations. The Argentine government has simplified the entry process for Indian nationals, allowing them to visit without the need for a separate Argentine visa if they possess a valid US visa. This decision was communicated by Argentina’s Ambassador to India, Mariano Caucino, via social media. The official document published in the Official Gazette specifies that Indian citizens holding US tourist visas are permitted entry without requiring an Argentine visa. This move is intended to stimulate tourism, as noted by Ambassador Caucino, signaling a positive development for both countries. The policy is anticipated to boost tourism, strengthen cultural and economic connections, and facilitate easier travel for Indian citizens to Argentina. The decision underscores the increasing cooperation between the United States and India, further promoting tourism and people-to-people connections. Approximately 2.2 million Indian citizens visited the United States in 2024, with the US issuing over a million visas to Indian citizens annually, as pointed out by the Minister of Modernization, Federico Sturzenegger.
