The BJP has launched a scathing attack on Rahul Gandhi following reports that he made offensive remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother during a voter rights campaign in Bihar. The BJP condemned the remarks, calling it a new low in politics. According to the BJP, the comments crossed all lines of decency.
In a social media post, the BJP stated that extremely offensive language was used from the stage of the Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav campaign against the late mother of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The BJP further asserted that such a low level of politics has never been witnessed before and that the campaign had exceeded all limits of insult, hatred, and degradation.
The BJP further alleged that Rahul Gandhi allowed abusive language to be used from the stage against PM Modi’s mother. They claimed that Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav had previously invited leaders who had insulted the people of Bihar to their campaign. The BJP said that the opposition’s desperation led to the use of offensive language against the Prime Minister’s mother. They added that the language used by Tejashwi and Rahul was too vulgar to be repeated publicly.
The BJP said that even if Rahul and Tejashwi apologized, the people of Bihar would not forgive them, calling it shameful.
Krishna Singh Kallu, a member of the Bihar BJP executive, filed a complaint against Rahul Gandhi at the Gandhi Maidan police station in Patna. The BJP leader said that Rahul Gandhi had been making derogatory remarks about the Prime Minister and Home Minister Amit Shah. He said that at a Congress event in Darbhanga, abusive language was used against the Prime Minister and his mother, which led to the filing of a police complaint.
Chirag Paswan criticized the opposition’s use of language, saying it was unacceptable and lowered the standards of political discourse. He said that abusing the Prime Minister in this way was inappropriate and should not be tolerated. He questioned whether those using such language were the opposition’s workers. He also said that targeting someone’s family in politics is wrong. He accused the opposition of corruption and warned that they would shift their focus to the EVM and voter list issue. Paswan cautioned that the Congress is leading the country toward anarchy.
