The court had previously intervened to halt the passing-out parade and the appointment of successful candidates. The SI exam aimed to fill 859 positions. The Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan uncovered evidence of cheating, including the use of dummy candidates. Over 150 people were arrested in connection with the scandal. The court’s decision was based on findings that the exam paper was circulated through various channels, including WhatsApp, social media, and Bluetooth devices.
