
Neeraj Chopra, the Indian javelin thrower, secured second place at the Diamond League final held at the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich on August 28th. Germany’s Julian Weber emerged as the victor in the competition. Chopra, who has brought considerable glory to India in the sport, previously won the Diamond League in 2022.
Chopra’s best throw in the final reached 85.01 meters, while Weber’s winning throw was 91.51 meters. Chopra faced multiple challenges during the event, including three fouls. His earlier attempts were less successful than Weber’s, who set the stage with a strong initial throw.
