The upcoming Asia Cup in the UAE, starting September 9th, is generating considerable interest, especially the India vs. Pakistan match scheduled for September 14th in Dubai. There’s a huge demand for tickets, with reports indicating that tickets for the India-Pakistan encounter are selling at astonishing prices, reaching 1.5 million rupees in the black market, even before their official release. This surge in prices comes amidst calls for a boycott due to the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
The excitement surrounding the match is fueled by the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. The Indian government has given the go-ahead for the match. The ECB is warning fans to be cautious of unofficial websites. The ACC has also issued an alert, advising fans to buy tickets only from the official website once sales begin.
Some fraudulent websites are already selling tickets, with prices for the India-Pakistan match ranging from 26,256 rupees to 1.5 million rupees. The ACC is urging cricket fans to refrain from purchasing tickets from these sites. Another potential match between the two teams is slated for September 21st, with a possible third match if both teams advance to the Asia Cup final on September 28th.
