Mark your calendars: TVS Motor Company is gearing up to launch its NTORQ 150 scooter on September 4, 2025. The company has revealed a teaser showing the front design of the scooter, which includes a quad-LED headlamp cluster and a new T-shaped housing. The new scooter’s design is expected to mirror the 125cc version with potential changes.
To create differentiation, TVS might equip the 150cc model with enhancements like bigger wheels. The NTORQ 150 is expected to feature a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and single-channel ABS. Although engine specifics are still under wraps, a new engine is likely. This launch positions the NTORQ 150 as a direct competitor to the Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155, with an anticipated starting price of approximately Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
In addition to the upcoming scooter, TVS recently introduced the Orbiter, its third electric scooter, in India. With a price tag of Rs 99,900, the Orbiter aims to compete with the Ather Rizta. It boasts a 3.1kWh battery and an electric motor, giving it a range of 158 km. Features include connected technology, support for the TVS Smart ZONECT app, over-the-air updates, turn-by-turn navigation, Bluetooth connectivity, an instrument cluster, USB charging, and more.
The Orbiter includes 14-inch front and 12-inch rear alloy wheels with low rolling resistance tires. Its ground clearance is 165 mm, and it has a 34-liter under-seat storage space. Key design elements include a large LED headlight, an LED taillight bar, LED turn indicators, a small windscreen, a straight-line footboard, a wide handlebar, an easy-access box, and a USB charging port. The Orbiter comes in six color choices: Martian Copper, Lunar Grey, Stratos Blue, Cosmic Titanium, Neon Sunburst, and Stellar Silver.
