As the 2025 Asia Cup approaches, the Indian cricket team, led by Suryakumar Yadav, is set to travel directly to Dubai. The 15-member squad will arrive in Dubai on September 4, with the first match scheduled for September 9. This deviates from previous practices, as players will travel directly from their respective locations to Dubai, foregoing an initial gathering in Mumbai. This decision was made to enhance logistical ease and player comfort. The first net session will be held on September 5 at the ICC Academy. India’s Asia Cup schedule includes matches against the UAE on September 10 and Pakistan on September 14 in Dubai, followed by a game against Oman on September 19, leading to the Super Four stage. Certain players are currently participating in domestic cricket. Standby players won’t be accompanying the primary squad as net bowlers. India hopes this direct arrival strategy, combined with a balanced team, will foster a strong performance in Dubai, setting the stage for a successful Asia Cup showing.
