During a press conference, Deputy Chief Minister Brijesh Pathak discussed the judicial commission’s report on the Sambhal violence, focusing on historical context and the government’s current actions. Pathak pointed out that in 1924, after riots, Jawaharlal Nehru investigated the situation in Sambhal and submitted a report to Mahatma Gandhi. The report detailed the targeting of Hindus by Muslim rioters, including the destruction of temples. He criticized previous governments, namely the Samajwadi Party and the Congress, for neglecting the issues faced by the Hindu community in Sambhal. Furthermore, Pathak accused the Akhilesh Yadav government of appeasement policies, including the withdrawal of cases against terrorists.
