
Suresh Raina, former Indian cricketer, has commended Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a young Indian batter, predicting he has a bright future ahead after his impressive showing in IPL 2025. The 14-year-old cricketer generated buzz even before the tournament, being picked by Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.1 crore. Suryavanshi validated expectations, scoring 252 runs across seven matches and quickly becoming a prominent player in the league. A defining moment was his match against Gujarat Titans, where he scored 101 runs from just 38 balls. This performance earned him the title of youngest male player to score a T20 century and also marked the second-fastest century in IPL history, completing the milestone in 35 deliveries. Raina emphasized Suryavanshi’s fearless style, setting him apart. Raina referenced Suryavanshi’s recent century in England and his IPL century, highlighting the player’s capability. Raina also spoke about a coach from Bihar who was instrumental in Suryavanshi’s development, further stressing the rare nature of his talent, comparable to Rishabh Pant and Rinku Singh.
