The political climate in Bihar is charged with activity in the run-up to the state assembly elections. The opposition is contesting the ruling NDA, alleging ‘vote theft.’ The ‘Voter Rights Yatra,’ organized by the Mahagathbandhan under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, concluded on Monday. However, Pappu Yadav, an independent MP, was again denied a place on a vehicle during the event. The incident was captured in a video that has since gone viral, stirring up debate.
During the final day of the ‘Voter Rights Yatra,’ Pappu Yadav, the Lok Sabha MP from Purnia, was once again involved in an incident. He was already seated in a vehicle when he was asked to disembark. A heated exchange took place between Yadav and a female Congress leader present in the vehicle. The incident happened near JP Golambar in Patna.
Sources indicate that after Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi departed from Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, Pappu Yadav was seated in another vehicle in the convoy. A female Congress leader was also present. Despite Pappu Yadav being seated, a member of Rahul Gandhi’s team instructed the independent MP to leave the vehicle.
This situation led to a heated argument, with Pappu Yadav becoming visibly agitated. The confrontation between the two parties intensified. Bhai Virendra, an RJD MLA from Maner, was also present at the scene. Ultimately, Pappu Yadav was asked to leave the vehicle after a heated exchange.
This isn’t the first time Pappu Yadav has been excluded from a vehicle. On July 9th, during a Bihar bandh organized by the Mahagathbandhan in Patna, he was also prevented from boarding a vehicle. At that time, Rahul Gandhi, Tejashwi Yadav, Dipankar Bhattacharya, and other coalition members were also present. When Pappu Yadav tried to board a vehicle during the protest, he was stopped. Subsequently, Pappu Yadav had to defend himself by saying that he had not even tried to get on the vehicle.
When questioned about the vehicle incident, MP Pappu Yadav stated that he had no reason to be on the stage since his name was not on the list. He mentioned that he only went to ensure his leader, Rahul Gandhi, had safely boarded the truck. He also explained that the Bihar bandh was initiated by the Congress party, and he had acted according to the party leadership’s instructions.
Besides Pappu Yadav, the young Congress leader Kanhaiya Kumar also attempted to board a vehicle, but was not allowed. This incident was also captured on video and went viral. However, during the Voter Rights Yatra, Pappu Yadav did get a chance to be in a vehicle.
