Apple is set to inaugurate its new retail store, Apple Hebbal, in Bengaluru on September 2nd. This marks Apple’s initial retail venture in South India. The company already has stores in Mumbai (Apple BKC) and Delhi (Apple Saket). With this new addition, Apple will have three physical retail locations in India, in addition to its online platform.
The Apple Hebbal store will showcase and sell Apple’s latest products, including the iPhone 16 series, MacBook Pro, iPad Air, Apple Watch Series 10, AirPods 4, and AirTag. The store will be staffed by a team of 70 trained employees, sourced from 15 different Indian states. This team will offer assistance to customers with product selection, financing choices, iOS setup, and device migration from Android to iPhone. The Hebbal store is designed to operate entirely on renewable energy sources, ensuring carbon-neutral operations and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Beyond sales, Apple Hebbal will function as a learning center, providing free daily sessions under the “Today at Apple” initiative. These sessions will offer lessons on iPhone photography, Apple Intelligence features, creative applications using iPad and Apple Pencil, and group booking opportunities for families, students, and business groups. The store’s grand opening is scheduled for Tuesday, September 2nd, at 1 PM. This move signifies Apple’s growing presence in India and is a significant milestone for the company.
Additionally, Apple’s annual event is anticipated this month, with the potential launch of the new iPhone series. Reports suggest that the iPhone 17 series might debut without a SIM slot in several Asian countries, relying solely on eSIM technology. In India, both physical SIM and eSIM options are currently available.
