Salman Khan’s film ‘No Entry’ proved to be a massive success, earning 70 crore and outperforming Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan’s film. The film was made with a budget of 20 crore and earned 74 crore worldwide. The film was a Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Charlie Chaplin.’
In the same year, Amitabh and Abhishek Bachchan starred in ‘Bunty Aur Babli,’ which was also a hit. This film, with a budget of 12 crore, earned 63 crore globally, with 51 crore from India. The movie also included Rani Mukerji and a special dance number by Aishwarya Rai. Despite the hit status of ‘Bunty Aur Babli,’ it was surpassed by ‘No Entry’ in terms of overall earnings.
