This announcement comes after the government’s recent announcement of new GST rates, taking effect September 22nd. These new rates will affect items like footwear under Rs 2,500, handbags, and many food items, which will now have a 5% tax rate instead of the previous 18%. Amazon’s sale will offer significant discounts on numerous products. Smartphones from Apple, Samsung, iQOO, and OnePlus are expected to be available with up to 40% off, while electronics and accessories from brands such as Samsung, HP, Sony, and Boat will be discounted up to 80%. Furthermore, shoppers can look forward to up to 65% off on home appliances from Godrej, Haier, Samsung, and LG. SBI cardholders will enjoy an instant 10% discount on purchases, including EMI transactions. Prime members get early access 24 hours before the official start.
