Under Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s leadership, the Uttarakhand government has significantly boosted employment opportunities. Within four years, 25,000 young people have been selected for government jobs. Recent appointments include 15 assistant teachers for the Government Ashram Method Schools under the Tribal Welfare Department. Since July 4, 2021, the Dhami administration has prioritized employment and skill development for youth. The government has provided permanent jobs to over 25,000 individuals through the Public Service Commission and other recruitment bodies. Further recruitment processes are ongoing, with more job placements expected. In November 2022, the government launched the Chief Minister Skill Development and Global Employment Scheme, offering training in sectors like hospitality, nursing, and automobiles, aimed at facilitating employment in Germany and Japan. The scheme has trained 154 youths, with 37 already employed in Japan. To ensure transparency, the Dhami government implemented a stringent anti-cheating law in 2024, successfully preventing exam paper leaks and resulting in the imprisonment of more than 100 individuals involved in such activities.
