
VinFast introduced its VF6 and VF7 electric vehicles to the Indian market with introductory pricing of Rs 16.49 lakh and Rs 20.89 lakh, respectively. The Vietnamese company aims to establish a presence in the premium EV segment, competing with leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and international manufacturers such as BYD. CEO Pham Sanh Chau stated the ‘Made in India’ vehicles will be available in South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Bookings for the VF6 and VF7 commenced in July, requiring a deposit of Rs 21,000. The company has formed partnerships with 13 dealer groups, resulting in 32 dealerships across 27 cities, with an ambitious plan to increase the dealership network to 35 by the end of 2025.
