A woman was subjected to a horrific attack in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, where she was tied to a tree, physically assaulted, and partially stripped by a group of four women. The incident, which occurred near Panruti, was captured on video, a 2.13-minute clip that quickly spread across social media, causing widespread condemnation. Police have taken action, arresting one of the suspects and initiating a search for the remaining three. The motive behind the attack is believed to be related to a personal land dispute. The video shows the victim bound to a tree and surrounded by the attackers. The assailants are seen verbally abusing the victim, beating her, and attempting to remove her clothing in an act of public humiliation. One of the attackers is heard making demeaning statements, while others are seen using a stick and pulling the victim’s hair. The victim struggles to hold onto one of the attackers in an attempt to prevent being completely stripped. Despite the presence of someone recording the assault and warning the attackers of the potential consequences, the attack continued. Towards the end of the video, an elderly woman is seen trying to take the phone. Police are currently working to determine the full details of the incident and ensure that all those involved are held accountable.
