
The current weather in Delhi and Noida is clear, however, the IMD warns of increasing humidity. A rain alert is in effect, with light rain and thundershowers anticipated over the next couple of days, followed by heavier rainfall on September 9. The monsoon’s presence in Delhi may trigger afternoon showers accompanied by stronger winds, potentially continuing into the night, with similar conditions expected the following day. Heavy rain and thunderstorms are forecast for September 9, before the weather potentially settles with light clouds and gentle winds until September 12.
Eastern Uttar Pradesh, including Gorakhpur, Deoria, and Kushinagar, is facing changing weather conditions due to a cyclonic storm from the Bay of Bengal, with light rain and thunderstorms predicted for Sunday. The Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for September 10 and 11. While Gorakhpur may experience light clouds for some time, the sky could become densely cloudy by Wednesday.
Elsewhere, heavy rain is expected in select areas of western and northwestern India. Western Rajasthan is preparing for heavy rain on September 9. Uttarakhand anticipates heavy rainfall from September 6-8 and on September 12. Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi are also under a heavy rain advisory for September 6. Eastern Rajasthan and Gujarat may face heavy rain on September 8. Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra are expected to see very heavy rain from September 6-7. Rainfall may increase in eastern and western Rajasthan on September 7. The Meteorological Department advises residents in these areas to prepare for heavy rainfall and strong winds.
