A girls’ hostel in the Lalpur police station area of Ranchi was raided by the police, exposing a sex racket and leading to the rescue of eight women. The operation was carried out by the Lalpur police station team, under the guidance of City DSP K.V. Raman, after receiving intelligence about the illicit activities occurring within the hostel. The women were allegedly brought to the hostel from West Bengal and other locations. Police are currently searching for the main leader of the sex racket, while the rescued women are being investigated. Prior to this case, similar incidents were reported in Ranchi, highlighting the existence of sex rackets in the region.
