
Chief Minister Hemant Soren presided over a meeting at his Ranchi residence to review presentations related to the proposed flyover projects in the city. The discussions involved in-depth analysis of the work plans and designs for three significant flyovers, as presented by the Road Construction Department officials. The primary focus of the review was the flyover project extending from Harmu (Sahjanand Chowk) to the ACB office. The Chief Minister emphasized the necessity of the Harmu flyover to mitigate the prevalent traffic congestion, particularly on the Harmu bypass road. This project aims to significantly reduce travel time and enhance the overall commuting experience for the public. The Chief Minister also instructed the officials to connect this flyover to the Ratu Road flyover to optimize convenience for the citizens. The Road Construction Department officials confirmed that the tender process for the Harmu to ACB office flyover had been finalized. In addition to the Harmu project, the Chief Minister discussed the construction of flyovers from Argora Chowk to Kathal Mor and from Karam Toli Chowk to Science City. The meeting also involved giving crucial instructions and guidance related to the projects. The Chief Minister directed the creation of a detailed work plan and a Detailed Project Report (DPR) to expedite the project’s implementation. A key decision was the instruction to construct a roundabout at Argora Chowk, which would connect several important roads, and improve traffic flow. The 4-lane elevated flyover from Karam Toli Chowk to Science City was also part of the presentation, along with a discussion on the planned road construction from the proposed Doctors Colony to Hill View Bariatu Road. The Chief Minister instructed the Road Construction Department to prioritize future needs when finalizing the designs and execution of all the flyover projects, underlining the government’s dedication to the projects.
