
Korba is poised to host a major political and administrative event today. The Madhya Kshetra Adivasi Vikas Pradhikaran will convene for an important meeting at the Collectorate Auditorium in Korba, starting at 11 AM, under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai. This meeting is considered crucial because it will bring together numerous state ministers, two deputy chief ministers, members of the authority, and specially invited guests.
Among those attending are Deputy CMs Arun Sao and Vijay Sharma, alongside Excise Minister Lakhanlal Dewangan, Finance Minister OP Chaudhary, Tribal Development Minister Guru Khushwant, Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Education Minister Gajendra Yadav, and Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap. Additionally, other ministers at the government level, a total of 51 members, and 24 special invitees are expected to participate, offering their feedback, suggestions, and any issues they wish to raise.
The districts under the authority’s purview include Korba, Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi, Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chowki, Gariaband, Dhamtari, Mahasamund, Rajnandgaon, Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, Sarangarh-Bilaigarh, Balod, Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, Kabirdham, Bilaspur, Raigarh, and Sakti. The agenda includes a review of development projects across these districts, along with deliberations on fresh priorities and proposals.
The district administration has ensured comprehensive preparations, given the importance and security needs of the meeting. Collector Ajit Vasant and Superintendent of Police Siddharth Tiwari oversaw the arrangements through a meeting with officials. Improvements have been made to facilities such as parking, barricading, water supply, electricity, road management, and entry/exit points within the Collectorate complex. Departmental stalls will be available for beneficiaries to directly interact with the Chief Minister.
