
A delegation comprising members from the Mahanagar Durga Puja Committee, Zilla Durga Puja Committee, and Shri Mahavir Mandal Ranchi met with Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren to discuss the upcoming Durga Puja celebrations for 2025. The committees expressed their appreciation for the support they have consistently received from the state government and district administration. The delegation reported the smooth functioning of essential services, including electricity and water supply, as well as city cleaning during the Durga Puja festival. This year, the festival will be celebrated across approximately 157 puja pandals in Ranchi and nearby regions, with preparations actively progressing. The delegation requested that the government continue to provide the same level of support. The Chief Minister was presented with traditional gifts, including a Durga idol. The Chief Minister assured the committees of the government’s ongoing support and urged the district administration and puja organizers to collaborate closely to ensure a peaceful and harmonious celebration. The Chief Minister also conveyed his best wishes for the Durga Puja festival. He also mentioned the government’s commitment to developing Ranchi as a model city, with a focus on improving public amenities and overall cleanliness. The government aims to continuously improve the city and seeks the cooperation of the public in this endeavor.
