Traffic rules violations often lead to challans, especially with the prevalence of roadside cameras. These cameras are efficient, and if you break a rule, a fine is likely.
Many individuals await the Lok Adalat as a means to settle their traffic challans with reduced costs, or even have them canceled. Two Lok Adalats have already taken place in 2025, and the third is scheduled for September 13.
This article offers essential information about the Lok Adalat, including who can attend, preparations needed, and the documents you’ll require.
## Lok Adalat 2025 Dates
The first Lok Adalat of 2025 occurred on March 8, the second on May 10, and the third will be held on September 13. If you didn’t get a token for the September 13 event, you will have to wait for the next opportunity on December 13.
## Required Documents for Lok Adalat 2025
If you have a token for the September 13 Lok Adalat, make sure you bring a printout of your token or appointment. This is the only document usually required, as it contains all the necessary information about your challan and court details.
## Lok Adalat Timings
The Delhi Traffic Police’s official X account indicates that the Lok Adalat operates from 10 AM to 4 PM. You must attend at the time indicated on your token; late arrivals may miss the chance to have the challan reduced or waived.
## Getting a Lok Adalat Token
Currently, tokens are unavailable because they are fully allocated. Only those with tokens can print their notices. Residents of Delhi can book tokens on the Delhi Traffic Police website. Here’s how to get a token for future Lok Adalats:
* Visit https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat.
* Provide your vehicle number, engine number, or chassis number.
* Pending notices will be displayed.
* Click ‘print’ and answer the court and time-related questions.
**Note:** Non-Delhi residents can obtain tokens through the NALSA website.
