Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has targeted the BJP and the central government over the upcoming India-Pakistan match in the Asia Cup on September 14. She released a video statement, focusing on the cricket match to be held in Dubai. Chaturvedi stated she brought up the matter in Parliament, recalling that during visits to different countries post-Operation Sindoor with a parliamentary delegation, it was communicated that talks and trade would cease with Pakistan due to the issue of terrorism.
Chaturvedi referenced the tragic loss of 26 young lives in Pahalgam and the 26 women who were widowed. She highlighted that Operation Sindoor was the response and underlined the commitment to halt all forms of communication and trade with Pakistan until the eradication of terrorism. The announcement of the cricket match has now sparked opposition.
