Actor Arjun Kapoor entered Bollywood in 2012, beginning as an assistant before taking on leading roles. He hasn’t reached the same level of success as his father, Boney Kapoor, and uncle, Anil Kapoor. His stepmother, Sridevi, a celebrated actress with a career spanning approximately 300 films, was a major figure in Bollywood.
Arjun’s feelings towards Sridevi were not positive, stemming from her relationship with his father. Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor’s marriage produced Arjun and Anshula Kapoor. Boney’s subsequent relationship with Sridevi led to a divorce from Mona, followed by his marriage to Sridevi in 1996.
Arjun’s resentment towards Sridevi was a result of her role in his parents’ separation. This led to emotional turmoil and changes in his physical health. He attributed his parents’ divorce to her. However, following Sridevi’s death in 2018, Arjun’s perspective shifted.
Despite not considering Sridevi a mother figure, Arjun stepped up to support Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor after Sridevi’s passing. He fulfilled the role of an elder brother, putting aside past grievances. He participated in Sridevi’s final rites, showing a change in his feelings and a move towards acceptance.
