A man in Andhra Pradesh’s Prakasam district was recorded attacking his wife after tying her hands, using a belt and kicks. The video of the assault has circulated widely. The individual, identified as Guruntham, was seen beating his wife while she reacted with screams and attempts to evade the blows. Witnesses reported the man deliberately prevented intervention from neighbors, seemingly enjoying the infliction of pain. The couple have three children, and the wife worked to support their family. Simultaneously, in Gorakhpur, a 19-year-old preparing for the NEET exam, Deepak Gupta, was killed by cattle smugglers, prompting protests and altercations.
