A potentially dangerous situation unfolded on Tuesday when a Spirit Airlines passenger aircraft came dangerously close to the Boeing 747 designated as Air Force One, carrying US President Donald Trump, while flying through the airspace over New York, on the way to London. Air traffic control swiftly intervened, issuing urgent instructions for the pilots of Spirit Flight 1300 to deviate from their course, away from Air Force One, over Long Island. The Spirit flight, an Airbus A321, was operating between Fort Lauderdale and Boston. The controller observed the similar altitudes and intersecting flight paths, prompting the immediate safety intervention.
