In Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, two suspects connected to the shooting at Bollywood actress Disha Patani’s home in Bareilly were killed in a police encounter. The suspects were linked to a well-known transnational criminal gang. The fatal encounter is connected to the shooting incident on September 12th at Ms. Patani’s childhood home in Bareilly. At the time of the shooting, the actress’s family, including her father, mother, and sister, were residing in the home. Goldy Brar, a gangster based in Canada, took credit for the attack via social media, asserting it was a response to alleged comments by Patani and her sister regarding two religious figures. The joint operation between the Noida unit of the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) and the Crime Intelligence (CI) Unit of Delhi Police led to the encounter. The suspects opened fire on the approaching law enforcement team, and in the ensuing exchange, both sustained severe injuries. Authorities recovered weapons including a Glock pistol and a Zigana pistol from the scene. The suspects were identified as Ravindra from Rohtak and Arun from Sonipat.
