
Chhattisgarh will host the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ (Healthy Woman, Empowered Family Campaign), alongside the National Nutrition Month. The Union government’s initiative, led by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Women and Child Development, will run from September 17th to October 2nd. Simultaneously, National Nutrition Month 2025 will be observed nationwide from September 17th to October 16th. The Prime Minister will initiate the campaign and Nutrition Month from Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
The state-level program will be held at the Agriculture College Auditorium in Raipur. The Chief Minister will be the chief guest, and the Union Minister of Women and Child Development will preside over the event. More than 7,500 health camps will be set up across the state. These camps will facilitate initial health checks and provide treatment for women and children, targeting ailments like high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, tuberculosis, and leprosy. The campaign includes specific programs such as prenatal check-ups, issuance of mother and child safety cards, childhood vaccinations, and awareness initiatives focusing on nutrition and menstrual hygiene for adolescent girls.
