Amidst the backdrop of a dispute involving the PCB and match referee Andy Pycroft during the Asia Cup 2025, Pakistan’s bowler Haris Rauf shared his thoughts on the team’s focus. The controversy stemmed from the India versus Pakistan match, where the Indian team’s post-game conduct reportedly angered the PCB, head coach Mike Hesson, and captain Salman Ali Agha. Following this, Agha did not attend the post-match presentation, and the PCB voiced their concerns about Pycroft. Facing the possibility of a boycott, the PCB requested Pycroft’s replacement, but the ICC denied this. Before the UAE match, the Pakistani team deliberated, with the situation reportedly resolved after an apology from Pycroft. Rauf stated he remained unaffected by the situation, as his focus was on playing. He added that such decisions were the responsibility of the board. He added his focus was on the match and the management handled the situation well. Rauf emphasized the team’s commitment to optimizing their chances, highlighting the team’s preparation for forthcoming matches.
