
Constitution Day in Nepal was marked with a speech by Interim Prime Minister Sushila Karki. She stressed the significance of the constitution adopted a decade ago and the need for its effective implementation. Karki acknowledged the Gen-Z movement as a sign of the current generation’s expectations and grievances. She expressed the government’s dedication to addressing people’s concerns and outlined plans to tackle corruption, boost employment, and uplift citizens’ living standards.
The event saw the presence of President Ramchandra Paudel, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, and Chairman of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, in addition to PM Karki. President Paudel highlighted the constitution’s role in uniting the diverse Nepali society. The country is scheduled to have elections on March 5, 2026.
