A major administrative blunder has been revealed in Chhattisgarh, where the Urban Administration and Development Department transferred a deceased sub-engineer. The sub-engineer, Yoganand Som, who had been serving at the Dalli Rajhara Municipal Corporation, was assigned to the Tumgaon Nagar Panchayat in the transfer order. The issue is that Som had passed away two months prior to the transfer. The department’s failure to update its records led to this significant error, exposing the negligence within the system. After the error came to light, the transfer order was amended. This incident has sparked criticism and raised questions about the overall efficiency of the administrative procedures in the state.
