India continued their successful run in the Asia Cup 2025 by defeating Oman, with a 21-run victory in their concluding Group A match in Abu Dhabi. This result ensured India’s unblemished record in the group stage, paving their way to the Super 4 round. Winning the toss, India opted to bat first, and scored a competitive 188/8 in their 20 overs. Sanju Samson’s composed innings of 56 runs off 45 balls proved pivotal. Despite a slow start by the top order, India gained momentum in the middle overs thanks to clever batting and strike rotation. Oman responded with a spirited performance, with Aamir Kaleem scoring 64 off 46 balls and Hammad Mirza adding 51 off 33 balls, resulting in a strong 93-run partnership. India’s bowlers managed to contain Oman in the final overs. The match also saw Arshdeep Singh make history by becoming the first Indian bowler to achieve 100 T20I wickets. His final wicket was crucial in securing the win and marking his achievement.
