With Bihar’s assembly elections approaching, the political arena is witnessing intense alliance formations. TV9 Digital facilitated a digital meeting in Purnia, allowing for the exchange of political ideas. AIMIM leader Adil Hasan stated in this meeting that they are not foes with the RJD, referring to the RJD’s failure to defeat the NDA in the past. He indicated that Tejashwi Yadav cannot become Chief Minister without AIMIM’s backing. RJD spokesperson Dr. Alok responded by asserting that the AIMIM does not have a substantial base in Seemanchal.
Discussing the strategy of whether to challenge the NDA or RJD, Adil Hasan expressed that their focus is on justice in Seemanchal. He mentioned the efforts of Asaduddin Owaisi and the Seemanchal Development Board. Hasan emphasized that they have always supported the opposition and are not against RJD.
Adil Hasan then directed criticism towards the RJD, questioning their ability to defeat the NDA and encouraging them to contest elections together. He stated that the RJD and AIMIM losses benefited the BJP.
Dr. Alok countered by suggesting that supporting the RJD without contesting elections is a viable method of opposing the BJP.
Dr. Alok further suggested that certain leaders of AIMIM might be backed by the BJP and are creating a false narrative and misleading the people.
Regarding AIMIM, Dr. Alok said that Lalu Yadav’s sole aim is not to let communal forces come in power and the party will do whatever it takes to stop BJP.
Political analyst Pankaj Bhartiya said that AIMIM has a presence in Seemanchal. He further said that the RJD and Congress do not want to create a new partner in the minority votes base. And that is why they do not want to include the AIMIM.
Adil Hasan said that if AIMIM contests 100 seats, RJD’s position will be weakened and they will not support BJP coming to power and want an alliance with RJD.
Dr. Alok said that the wins in 2020 were due to the popularity of the candidates and that AIMIM doesn’t have that much support in Seemanchal.
Discussing Prashant Kishor, Adil Hasan said he is not a good actor and his efforts should be applauded.
