
The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP ATS) arrested three individuals in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, for allegedly collecting funds and transferring them to Palestine. The individuals arrested were identified as Mohammad Ayan Mohammad Hussain (22), Abu Sufiyan Tajammul Ansari (22), and Zaid Notiyar Abdul Kadir (22). These individuals were apprehended for their involvement in fundraising activities.
Police sources indicate that the accused are suspected of having collected approximately 3 lakh rupees, intended for Palestinians. They are accused of transferring this money out of the country via contacts in Uttar Pradesh, without the necessary permissions. This operation was a joint effort by the UP ATS and the local police in Bhiwandi. The suspects were interrogated at Shanti Nagar police station before being transferred to Uttar Pradesh for further inquiries. The operation was overseen by senior officials from the Nizampura police station.
The case began on August 27, 2025, with the UP ATS initiating an investigation under CR number 10/2025, applying the pertinent sections of anti-terrorism and foreign funding laws. The investigative team revealed that the operation targeted an unlawful financial network allegedly supporting terrorism abroad.
