Following India’s win against Pakistan in the Asia Cup 2025 Super-4 match, Irfan Pathan took to Twitter with a series of posts, continuing his tradition of good-natured banter. The former cricketer, known for his playful relationship with Pakistan, made his feelings clear after the match in Dubai on September 21st. He posted three tweets within a minute of each other, offering his perspective on the game.
The first tweet celebrated Tilak Varma’s performance. The second praised the overall performance of Team India, highlighting their class. The third, posted a minute later, was more pointed, and though he didn’t mention Pakistan directly, it was clear who he was addressing. Pathan’s tweet asked, “Hanji, kesa raha sunday?” (How was Sunday?).
This is not the first time Pathan has engaged in such interactions, and his comments often draw responses from former Pakistani cricketers. India won the Super-4 match, defeating Pakistan by 6 wickets.
