Saudi Arabia and France are reportedly working to introduce a resolution concerning Palestine during the current session of the United Nations General Assembly.
The ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine dates back to 1948, centered on territorial disputes and the status of Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque. Saudi Arabia believes that establishing defined borders and Palestinian statehood could help resolve the impasse. Currently, Palestine lacks a formal government, with Hamas controlling its administration. Hamas is widely considered an Iranian proxy organization.
