A tragic event unfolded in the Undu village of the Shiv police station area, Barmer district, Rajasthan, on September 21st. At approximately 10 am, a young woman’s cries for help were heard, drawing neighbors to the scene. They discovered a deceased young man, identified as 22-year-old Shaukat Khan. His girlfriend was found distraught, embracing his body and expressing her grief. She questioned his decision to leave her, pleading for him to wake up. The scene was deeply moving. The police were immediately contacted, and Shaukat’s body was taken for a post-mortem examination. The investigation commenced with questioning of the girlfriend. She stated that she had been in the kitchen when she attempted to call Shaukat. Finding the door locked, she looked through the window and saw him hanging. She then informed Shaukat’s brother. The brother stated that he and Shaukat were in the furniture business. Shaukat’s girlfriend is from Jharkhand, and she had been living with them for some time. The police are investigating and are trying to determine the reason behind the suicide. Approximately ten days prior, the girlfriend’s family had come to take her back, but she chose to remain with Shaukat.
