
Railway employees across India are set to receive a special bonus ahead of Diwali. The Union Cabinet, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, approved a 78-day Productivity Linked Bonus (PLB) for railway employees during a recent meeting. This bonus will be given to more than 10.91 lakh non-gazetted railway employees. The government is investing Rs 1865.68 crore to facilitate the bonus payments. The bonus distribution is scheduled to occur before the Diwali celebrations, ensuring that employees can enjoy the festivals with financial support. The bonus will be given to railway staff such as track maintainers, loco pilots, track managers (guards), station masters, supervisors, technicians, technician helpers, pointsmen, Railway Ministry employees and other Group employees.
