
Police in Janjgir-Champa, Chhattisgarh, have taken strong action against individuals involved in illegal gambling. A raid was conducted in the Chhata forest of the Pantora area based on reports of large-scale gambling. All gamblers escaped upon seeing the police, but the authorities were able to seize 17 motorcycles.
Gambling operations had been reported in the Chhata forest for an extended period, but the authorities had faced challenges in catching the individuals involved. SP Vijay Pandey received information about the ongoing gambling activities in the Chhata forest. Consequently, SP formed a police team composed of officers from Baloda police station and the Pantora sub-police station.
During the raid, the gamblers fled. However, the police managed to seize 17 motorcycles, and further actions are being taken by the police in connection with the case.
