September 27, 2025, marked Google’s 27th anniversary. The company commemorated the date with a special doodle on its homepage, paying homage to its first logo. A message on the homepage read: “Today’s Doodle marks Google’s 27th birthday. Thank you for searching with us throughout the years!” Founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin in a Menlo Park, California garage, Google was originally conceived as a way to organize and make the world’s information accessible. Today, Google’s services are extensive, encompassing Gmail, YouTube, Google AI, Maps, and Android, among other platforms. Under CEO Sundar Pichai’s leadership, Google maintains a leading position in areas such as quantum computing, e-commerce, and machine learning. The vintage logo, included in the celebrations, brings back memories of the early days of the internet.
