In Kadma, East Singhbhum, a woman named Malti Kumari, 28, committed suicide on Friday afternoon, streaming the act live on social media. The event took place at her residence, quarter number 16/19 in the Form Area. The woman was alone in her home when the incident occurred; her husband was at work and her children were at school. Reports indicate that she used her scarf to hang herself from a ceiling fan. During the live video, Malti held her husband, Sahdev Yadav, responsible for ongoing disputes and persistent mistreatment. Family immediately rushed her to TMH, where she was declared dead. Malti married Sahdev Yadav in 2013, and the couple had two children. Sahdev Yadav works as a contractor for Tata Steel. Originally from Giridih, Malti’s in-laws live in Koderma, but she resided in Kadma with her family. Police from the Kadma station took the husband into custody on Saturday for questioning based on the social media live video. The body was handed over to relatives after a postmortem examination. The incident has deeply affected the family and the local community.
